He has had experience in contracting and Project Management while working for professional Q. S firms in Wellington, before returning to Hawkes Bay to work for a local construction company and then establish Stead Construction Limited. Jeremy manages the construction staff and oversees the Project Management Team. Vanessa joined Stead Construction in its infancy years after managing much larger companies outside of the construction industry. Over a very short duration Vanessa gained experience in all management facets and processes within the construction industry.
In 2008 Vanessa was appointed as General Manager of Stead Construction and now oversees all financial management of the company. Ken joined Stead Construction in early 2008 and has over 25 years experience in Quantity Surveying and Project Management. His knowledge and skills have made him an integral part of Stead Construction's success. 10 Years later, with many successful projects under his belt, Tom is the Construction Manager.
Responsible for the day to day running of our construction staff while also managing numerous local projects. Having an extensive background in accounting her organizational skills are key to working in a busy construction industry. The Hawke's Bay team brings together some of the regions most experienced construction professionals. Having been with Stead Construction from its inception Geoff has been part of all company changes as it has grown.
Geoff in his former employment played a major role in taking Company Director Jeremy Stead through his Carpentry apprenticeship. John prides himself on being a working Foreman with the ability to keep up with and most of the time out shine younger members of staff. John's vast experience within the wider construction industry is second to none and his strive to work and deliver results both for the client and Stead Construction has seen John complete some key projects under all sort of unforeseen circumstances. Sam's ability to keep a cool head under pressure and gain the respect of much older work colleges leads him into a very strong construction career.
Evert in his former employment played a major role in taking company director Jeremy Stead through his Carpentry apprenticeship. Formerly from Wairoa, Evert has a wealth of knowledge gathered over his 40 years within the construction industry, this includes bridge building, power stations and large infrastructure projects and together with his hard working approach to his day to day work, Evert continues to guide and teach apprentices in their trade. He joined Stead Construction in 2007 further enhancing the technical joinery skills of the team. We now have a local team of construction professionals with extensive experience in residential, commercial and industrial projects.
Bill joined Stead Construction in 2011 as a carpenter wanting a quieter life after having run his own building company for over 15 years. Within the first 3 months Bill was thrust into a Senior Foreman position running Te Karaka Area School Redevelopment, from this beginning Bill hasn't left Gisborne and has grown our work platform in the Gisborne and Central District Region to over 15 full time construction staff
