She deals with all dietary issues, including food allergies and intolerances. She has worked extensively with gastroenterologists, immunologists and other dietitians researching the role of diet in treating Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Autoimmune Diseases, food intolerances, and other gastrointestinal disorders. Due to her own personal journey with an autoimmune disease and inflammatory bowel condition, Diane became increasingly interested in food allergies and intolerances. During her journey Diane has been privileged to spend valuable time with a wide range of health and medical professionals working in the field of nutrition, as well as nurses involved in istering skin prick allergy tests.
Diane now shares the dietary knowledge gained from her own experiences and training, to help others manage the symptoms of autoimmune disease and other health conditions. Some food intolerances and allergies can take considerable working through and can therefore require repeat appointments. Diane Stride is a Dietitian Consultant based in Havelock North, New Zealand, providing dietary advice and planning for food related allergies, intolerances, diseases and syndromes. Over the past while I have developed a strong interest in disordered eating which includes working with people with emotional eating and eating disorders, including Binge Eating Disorder and Bullimia Nervosa. I have had some success at losing weight over the years, but then over a period of time I would put the weight back on, and then some!. I have really enjoyed my food journey with Diane and I can seriously say that it is the best thing that I have done for myself in along time!!.
